So as dame_ratcliffe has announced, I am starting a new job on Feb 6th. This means that it's time to come back to Greenbelt for a week to say goodbye to my previous coworkers. I'm going to be home Jan 28th (evening) to February 5th (morning).
So, I have a question for DC area inhabitants: what's going on? Anyone planning anything fun? I hear there's a cast party, and people might be entertaining the idea of some cold paintball this Sunday? I'm out of the loop, and I want in!

yancentric recently invited people to come to his place to "Rock out with your cock out" As pointed out by a webcomic, http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=486, rocking out with your cock out can lead to...stuff. I don't want to give it away...see for yourself.

Dame_ratcliffe is quite sick...high fever, pain all over, including some chest pain. We went to the hospital, where they performed quite a barrage of tests, to decide that she needed bed rest and fluids. Not that we're upset that there's nothing worse the matter, it's just funny how much money you can save by paying attention to your mother.
Also, we're really upset we missed the Scottish play. Sadness. Hope it went well tonight, and enjoy the closing night party, y'all.

My company is sponsoring some road races (10k and 3k) on July 4th to benefit the Medical Care for Children Partnership located in Prince George's County. The Medical Care for Children Partnership provides medical services to children in low income families. There are prizes for the fastest runners in various age/gender groups, and cash prizes for the fastest overall. Registration is $25, $30, or $35, depending on whether you register today or tomorrow, through July 3rd, or on the day of the race (respectively). Timing will be done with rfid tags that get clipped to your shoes.
If you're interested, there's more info at http://www.vecna.com/CollegeParkCares10K/index.jsp
The 10k should start at College Park city hall, go along the Paint Branch trail, around lake Artemesia, and back to city hall...the exact course hasn't been finalized yet.
